Tracey Lawson, MEd BCBA

Clinical Director, Co-Founder

Tracey is our Clinical Director and founder of Kameleon Group. Tracey has worked in the disability sector for over 25 years, working in direct support roles, therapeutic roles, and across all levels of management. Tracey has also had the privilege to work alongside First Nations Communities and is a passionate advocate of taking a ‘whole family’ approach in all she does.

A mother to five adult children, and a proud grandmother to her 8 grandchildren, she embraces all life has to offer. Tracey is a qualified Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and works primarily in Early intervention and supervises our team of therapists throughout Australia.

Tracey is passionate about ABA, and the positive impact ABA programs have on young people and adults. Tracey loves working alongside the passionate and professional Kameleon team, bringing ABA to individuals and families. Backed with qualifications in Psychology, Counselling and Applied Behaviour Analysis, Tracey supports the Kameleon team to learn and grow together, to continually improve on the supports we provide to individuals and families

Peter Bentham, DipLaw(Syd), GradDip.LP

General Manager, Co-Founder

Peter comes to Kameleon Group with a successful business and law career, operating an internationally recognised business for over two decades. Joining Kameleon Group has provided him with an opportunity to change careers and utilise his business acumen to support Kameleon Group to focus on what is important, the people.

With a passion for learning and completing graduate and postgraduate studies in Business and Law, Peter is currently enrolled in the Graduate Diploma of Applied Behaviour Analysis, aiming to complete 2021.

One of Peter’s many key strengths includes his ability to build positive relationships with families, therapists, and all of Kameleon’s other key stakeholders. He is engaging and focussed. On the phone, Peter is often seen supporting the Kameleon Families and therapists along their journey at Kameleon Group.

Wiktoria Brand is a BCBA and a highly experienced and trusted behaviour therapist from Brisbane. Wiktoria loves the ABA philosophy and has been working in behaviour support as a therapist since 2014.

Backed with her psychology qualifications, applied behaviour analysis qualifications, and extensive experience, Wiktoria and the Kameleon team offer quality specialist behaviour support across a range of abilities and complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, mental health conditions and neurological generic conditions.

Natalia Powell

Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner

Natalia Powell is a Senior Behavioural Therapist at Kameleon Group, working across the Gold Coast. She studied Psychology at Bond University and graduate studies in Autism at Griffith University.

She is passionate about Applied Behaviour Analysis, seeing first hand the positive impression it has on individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Natalia has spent a considerable amount of time working with children with autism as an early childhood educator, implementing an ABA approach to skill development.

Natalia works with people of all abilities, from our early learners from just 2 years of age to adults with complex mental health concerns.

Angie Manzke is an outstanding social worker with 17 years experience working with families in Sydney and the Gold coast. She loves Social Work and Psychotherapist work. She has gained a Masters in Mental Health and is very passionate about supporting children and their parents.

She has 10 years experience at a children’s hospital and is a recognised international speaker on children’s therapy and parenting. Backed with her social work qualifications, psychotherapy and mental health, Angie is a social worker who delivers impressive results.

New to Cairns, I am looking forward to experiencing the tropical lifestyle and joining the community, and I hope a hungry croc won’t take the chihuahua!

Many years’ experience in positive behaviour support, with client ages ranging from 4 years to 33 years old. Also, I have lived experience, which has increased my empathy towards parents and carers. I have also had the privilege of tutoring and marking undergraduate psychology students at Southern Cross University for several years.

I feel it is an honour to be trusted enough to walk alongside clients and their families during tough times and assist in their journey. There is no better feeling than to see strategies successfully implemented and acknowledge the client’s positive effects (and the family as a whole) reap from it.

Madeleine (Maddy) Yale is a Behaviour Specialist at Kameleon Group working across the Gold Coast. She holds qualifications in Psychological Science, Autism Studies, and completing her Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis. She only needs to complete a total of 2000 hours of supervised fieldwork to be a BCBA Good luck Maddy.

Maddy has a passion for helping individuals reach their goals, she has worked with all ages and disabilities and has focussed on individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has assisted specialists in the delivery of OT and Speech while delivering Applied Behaviour Analysis Therapy.

Maddy and the Kameleon team offer quality specialist behaviour support across a range of abilities and needs. We are excited to have Maddy as a Kameleon, and we look forward to seeing the positive results for individuals and families.

Komala is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst who began her career in the field of disability in 2009 while completing her Masters in Teaching at the University of Sydney. She quickly discovered that she had a passion for the field and since that time Komala has worked with and alongside a wide variety of individuals of all ages and backgrounds in a range of settings including home, school and adult services.

As an Education Consultant for many years, she has delivered training, coaching and supervision to teachers, allied health professionals, parents and carers across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

Komala believes strongly in a collaborative, inclusive approach that involves listening first and foremost to the individual themselves and the people that know them best.

Sidra Hamed

Sidra Hameed is our behaviour therapist with specific experience in early intervention therapy for children with ASD. Through her time working as an ABA therapist, Sidra has gained experience supporting young and older children with various learning needs.

With success in assisting early learners in communicating and mastering various key skills, she continues to see positive results with the little ones she works with.

Sidra has qualifications in psychology and plans to pursue registration as a clinical psychologist and utilise the proven techniques of Applied Behaviour Analysis. She is passionate about helping the Participants, support workers and parents she supports to build skills and reach their full potential.

Zoe Lawder

Zoe Lawder is a passionate and experienced Behaviour support specialist who lives in the northern rivers region of NSW and works across the Lismore, Ballina, and Byron shires. She is a mum to two teenage boys and lives with a menagerie of animals including a dog, a cat, 2 guinea pigs, and 2 chickens.

Zoe is excited about supporting the social, emotional, and learning needs of children and young people. She believes in utilising strengths and a child-focused approach within an evidence-based framework. Her gentle and patient nature means she is able to build strong relationships with both children and families.

With extensive lived experience, and tertiary qualifications in sociology, autism studies, and applied behaviour analysis, Zoe is able to effectively implement evidence-based assessments and interventions. Patricia Bakri

Patricia Bakri has completed her Bachelor’s in Psychological Studies and Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling. Patricia has worked with children, young adolescents, and adults suffering from a range of mental health problems including; behavioural problems, anxiety disorders, and autism spectrum disorder. Patricia uses evidence-based frameworks to assist her clients in her therapeutic practice.

Keri comes to the Kameleon Group with over 21 years of experience working with people with a disability.

Keri is passionate about working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes and help bring about change for those she is working with. Keri particularly loves working with teenagers and young people, and has seen firsthand the positive impact that changes to behaviour can have on their overall wellbeing and future direction.

She loves to spend time with people across all age groups, and building rapport and trust is something which is a priority in both her personal and professional interactions. She sees herself as a lifelong learner and is always willing to learn from others, believing that this can enhance opportunities for everyone. This contributes significantly to bringing about change in the lives of those she works with.

Natalie Bentham

Natalie is a qualified Early Childhood and Primary teacher and as a result has facilitated the learning of countless children with diverse needs for over ten years. Inspired by her own children, Natalie became passionate about finding new ways to support children who experience learning and developmental challenges, particularly with social, emotional and behavioural skills. She began studying a graduate diploma in special education and developed an interest in ABA approaches and the positive impact this can have on children’s lives. Since then Natalie has worked with children with complex needs including Autism, ADHD, neurological conditions and learning and communication difficulties on a variety of skills in both early intervention groups and inclusive settings and is committed to ensuring positive outcomes for all clients.

As a local of the beautiful Northern beaches of Sydney she never stops trying to find places to explore, either on the water on her stand up paddleboard or on land with her cute little dog Ruby.

Nathan brings a wealth of valuable expertise to Kameleon after having spent 15 years at the forefront of behaviour support and special education in schools across three countries. He has enjoyed a range of roles with diverse responsibilities, including school leadership, classroom teaching, mentoring, and working with disengaged and at-risk youth.

Nathan’s patience and kind nature, coupled with his experience and in-depth knowledge of the developing brain, has allowed him to form trusted, positive, and respectful relationships with his extensive student and parent communities.

His drive to create better outcomes for young people, the mutual reward of connection, and his characteristic sense of adventure, buoys Nathan’s inherent love and appreciation of his work.

Outside of work Nathan enjoys spending time with family and friends and his loyal whippet Stella. On the weekends you can find him at the local ovals supporting his favourite footy teams and watching his beloved Collingwood Magpies on the TV!

Sharyn is a Senior Behaviour Specialist based in Hobart. Sharyn is an experienced mother to her amazing ten children, including a daughter with additional needs. She has worked alongside various early intervention services and has gained a positive reputation with services and families alike.

Sharyn’ s career started as an Early Intervention Teacher whilst completing postgraduate qualifications in Early Childhood and Special Education. She then worked as a Key Worker of a Trans-disciplinary allied health team and has completed her SOS training (Sequential- Oral-Sensory Approach to picky eating). Sharyn’s passion and enthusiasm is contagious and her tenacious attitude is an asset to all families she supports.

Leonie van Gelderen

Leonie possesses a strong desire to assist people in living to their greatest capacity. Her journey began in the aged care and disability field where she worked with adults who had acquired brain injuries, neurodegenerative diseases, and cognitive and intellectual disabilities. She has also worked with children with various disabilities and diagnoses in a gymnastic coaching capacity and as a behavioural therapist.

Leonie developed an interest in neurology and behaviour and completed her bachelor of psychological science, majoring in behavioural neuroscience.

Sarah Di Martino

Sara has spent the last fourteen years traveling the country, supporting her husband in his military career. She has now settled her family in the lovely city of Hobart.

Sarah has firsthand experience and wholly understands the effect constant upheavals have on the family, particularly the younger children. Sarah has worked extensively with current and ex-serving Defence Personnel and their families as well as those in disability employment services and providing guidance in their career journeys.

She has also worked with families and small children in family support services, advocating for the needs of the child and ensuring their safety during supervised, familial visitations. Sarah understands the comfort support services provide to families in need.

With an academic background in behavioural studies, psychology, and counseling, Sarah is passionate about helping people achieve balance in their lives and believes in a holistic approach to care and service provisions.

Leah Walsh

As a lifelong learner, Leah has completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Psychology, Master of Criminology, and is currently completing her Master of Counselling.

Leah has a wealth of experience working within trauma-informed practice as a forensic case manager with a focus on risk assessment and positive behaviour change. Leah has experience working with disenfranchised, disadvantaged youth focusing on overall wellbeing and re-engagement with education.

Leah has been to over 30 countries and lived in four different Australian states. Through her travels, she found a passion for human rights and cultural diversity. Leah enjoys learning from others lived experiences. In her spare time, she loves to collect old books and explore the Tasmanian outdoors with her beloved dog, Benson.

Dr Chantal Roddy

As a Clinical Neuropsychologist ,Chantal’s clinical experience has included working with a range of clients with brain injury, spinal cord injury, dementia, and other neurological conditions. Chantal has a keen interest in the fields of brain injury and dementia and is currently undertaking further dementia studies at the University of Tasmania.

Chantal brings a previous qualification in education (Bachelor of Teaching) and prior training in ABA therapy to her work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. She has worked across all ages and is passionate about lifelong learning. Chantal will bring specialist behaviour support skills to clients with complex behaviour support needs related to brain injury, neurodegenerative conditions, and cognitive or intellectual disabilities.

When she is not at work, Chantal enjoys playing the violin, sailing or attempting to play hockey. She is a keen cook and loves baking.
